Abstract
La fotografia ritrae la parte orientale della "biblioteca deli quadri" della galleria-mostra Art of This Century di Peggy Guggenheim a New York nel 1942. Le opere della Collezione Peggy Guggenheim sono appese alla parete o appoggiate a degli espositori di legno con ruote progettate da Frederick Kiesler, architetto che allestì la galleria-museo.

Sulla parete di fondo sono appese (da sinistra a destra): "Nostalgia of space" di Oscar Dominguez del 1939, "l'interpretazione dei sogni" di René Magritte del 1935 e "Scarpa azzurra rovesciata con due tacchi sotto una volta nera" di Jean Arp del 1925 (PG53), mentre appoggiate agli espositori è riconoscibile "Rooster Facade" di Berenice Abbott del 1937 e un opera di Man Ray del 1927.
